What We Believe
The foundation of New Thought philosophy is:
Spirit is all, both invisible and visible.
One Presence, One Mind, One Power is all there is.
1. We recognize one Infinite Spirit / Power / Presence / God - and Spirit God is Absolute Good.
2. We recognize Spirit's perfect ideal for humankind as exemplified by Jesus and other Spiritual Masters; and we believe that perfect ideal shines through us all.
We believe there is Truth in all religions and we honor all paths to God.
3. We believe that Infinite Spirit of God is active and involved in every area of life and creation. This activity is the Unconditional Love of Spirit for all.
4. We believe that through Prayer, Meditation, and Spiritual Study we can realize the Divine Light in our own individual human consciousness this awareness will help us live a better life.
We co-create with Spirit a life of purpose, love, joy and abundance for ourselves and all people.
We believe firmly in Human Rights - that all people have the right:
- to self-determine
- to be well and at peace
- to prosper
- to be free from exploitation and oppression of any kind
- to worship and celebrate Spirit Divine as they choose

The foundation of New Thought philosophy is:

This One that is all is perfect life, perfect love, and perfect substance. Man is the individualized expression of God and is ever one with this perfect life, perfect love, and perfect substance.
Man's expressions on earth are not perfect because Spirit flows and filters through human consciousness, which sees and believes in duality. Therefore, our expressions mirror the dual nature of our mind, the mistaken belief in two powers.
Life is governed by the law of mind action.
While this and other related principles are not new, but ancient, they are taught extensively through the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, Charles Fillmore, Ernest Holmes and other New Thought pioneers who expressly put forth this doctrine in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in the United States. We use much of their materials as tools for instruction in New Light Temple. More contemporary New Thought favorites are: Eckhart Tolle, Depak Chopra, Louise Hay, Michael Beckwith, Wayne Dyer, Esther Hicks, and many others.

We have no creed or dogma; we honor all paths to God. We hold a vision of unity, world peace, and well being for everyone on the planet. Therefore, we support our spiritual family, and we also help the communities where we live, and the greater world. We promote sharing and caring, serving individuals, children, and families.
